Profile

The system we use to manufacture our high quality double glazed replacement windows is designed by REHAU.

Digital Glazing specialises in design, manufacture and installation of PVCu windows. By choosing PVCu windows made with REHAU profiles, you're guaranteed new windows of very high quality that will blend perfectly with your home. As with any investment, you should carefully consider all the options available. All windows are not the same, though superficially it may seem that way.

Our highly engineered window system offers you the opportunity to choose from hundreds of window designs. You can either match the style to your existing windows, or you may wish to change the appearance to your liking. Once the style has been chosen, your new windows will be tailor made to your own specifications.

Finishes range from the ever popular sparkling white, Rosewood, light oak, or even Rosewood or oak on the outside and white on the inside. 70mm and slimline profiles are available.

The outward opening casement window has for many years been the favourite choice for the British consumer. Slender frames, mullions and sashes are required to achieve the desired appearance of these windows, making slimline PVCu profiles the ideal alternative to wood, steel or aluminium.

Even the important front to back dimension matches timber, making it possible to remove your old windows and replace them with ease and efficiency.

Aluminium

Aluminium Windows add a distinctive look to homes of any age or style. The elegant, slim line, maintenance-free frames - with attractive Soft line profiles that combine traditional looks with the best modern materials - will make your rooms lighter and brighter. The double-glazed aluminium windows are thermally insulated using appropriate low emissivity glass (low E) to comply with the new Part L Building Regulations 2002 and are designed to minimise heat loss. They reduce external noise and help eliminate draughts. With their inherent strength and our special locking systems, you will feel comfortable and secure.

There are a multitude of construction materials available, and when you decide to build or renovate, you will have to make a choice from among all kinds of different possibilities. However, with aluminium you know exactly what you are choosing: an outstanding and exceptionally strong material that is suitable for every building. Whether you are thinking of new construction or renovation, aluminium has countless advantages.

We present these advantages one by one below for Aluminium products:

Building Regulation Changes - Part L

It is important to stress that all Digital Glazing Limited products are Part L compliant in-line with amended Building Regulations of 2002 for England and Wales. The changes concerned the standards of energy efficiency in buildings and inevitably affected the specification of both new and replacement windows. Part L aims to ensure that almost every window and door installed in houses achieves a better level of heat insulation. It is part of the Government’s strategy to reduce harmful CO2 emissions, 50% of which are generated from heating, lighting and cooling buildings. Performance is measured in terms of "U-value".

The "U-value" is the unit of measurement for the rate at which heat is lost through a building material. In this instance, we are referring to windows and doors. Building Regulations now stipulate the following performance levels for the entire glazing (glass and frame combined):

How is Part L regulated?

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. The FENSA scheme has been developed by the GGF (Glass and Glazing Federation), with Government encouragement, to provide the practical controls needed for the implementation of the new Part L Building Regulations. The responsibility to demonstrate compliance with the new regulations has been placed with the installer of the windows.

Document “N” compliance:

Digital Glazing Limited is registered under the FENSA scheme for residential Installations and all products and installations are Part L and document “N” compliant.
